2003 Renault Espace intermittant power loss

Power loss even with pedal to the floor then black smoke bellows a out of exhaust and power returns. Mechanic friend put car on the computer and its reading error 1804 turbocharger power sensor but when I rang Renault main dealer they hadn't heard of this part....any advice?

Been trying to look for that code and cannot find it any where on Renault pages...

ihave you sorted it yet if not try blocked fuel pipe from tank and fuel pump at the tank end i had the same prob now sorted have other probs now
