2004 Renault Espace intermittant power loss

Our renault espace has intermittant power loss for a few seconds, particularly when driving at low speeds. It can be solved by reapplying the accelerator. It always starts, no warning lights are showing and it never cuts out.
Our local garage has looked over the car several times and have cleaned the EGR It seems to be getting more and more frequent and I would appreciate any advice on what the problem could be.
