1999 Renault Espace rear indicator and red light

when my lights are on and i use the rear indicater the rear red light at that side also flashes. can i fix this my self

sounds like you've either got a wrong bulb fitted or a bad earth where the bulb connects into the holder itself

water seals often allow moisture past which starts corrosion on the board usually at the plug to board junction. clean the contacts with wire wool or scrape with a knife/emery board and reassemble should fix it. check the bulb holders for white stuff and clean it. WD40 and working the plug on and off a few times is also very effective. if the water caused it. sort the seal out or you will be back to the same problem in six months. Vaseline on the cleaned holders and connections can also keep the elements at bay.
