1999 Renault Espace limp mode

Car: Renault Espace
Year: 1999
Variant: rxt 2.0 lt petrol auto
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
after driving a short distance, the car go`es into limp mode, but when you turn engine off and then back on again it drives ok for a short time, then happens again or NOT as the case may be, some times it will drive ok for 3 to 4 days without a problem, have had the car in the garage on diognostic, but no faults showing on engine or gearbox, renault want an arm and a leg just to investigate, i think myself it may just be a sensor, but am unsure, please help if you can. Regards Clive.

Mine does exactly the same, 3.0 petrol V6 Auto, 2001

I recently drove 100 miles to my Aunts no problem. On the way back it went into limp mode 3 times.

As you say sometimes it'll run all week without a problem. Reboot it and it's fine again.
