2012 Peugeot Partner my rear wash wiper goes on its own lol

My rear wiper and wash keeps going on and off on a tip until all the wash is gone .Then run dry I have taken the fuse out for the wiper but the wash keeps going can someone please help Peugeot want £120 to look

Could be a faulty switch or damaged wiring at top of tailgate where it passes through (usually in a rubber sheath ) which can short out .
