2005 Peugeot Partner clutch pedal stiff

Clutch pedal very stiff even after new cable.. Any advice or upgrades please

Make sure the cable is properly routed , check bushing on pedal , check and make sure the pivot at bell housing where the cable fits is not worn or partially seized . If so try freeing of with the likes of WD40 . If not any of these , probably internal clutch fault / wear .
