2002 Peugeot Partner side lights permanently on

Car: Peugeot Partner
Year: 2002
Variant: quicksilver combi
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
Had a electrical problem with car. Mechanic detected burnt out connector and wires near back seat. Rewired etc.
A few days later side lights came on by themselves even though turned off.
Been having to disconnect battery each time.
Mechanic says nothing to do with his work And says a new fault
What can it be please?
Before I shell out another £400+.

Call an auto electrician,
Could be the old fault generated a new one.
Burnt out connectors and wire could easily be the cause.
Short circuits can do a lot of damage.
