driving yesterday and rev counter speedo and fuel dial were all not working. when indicating lights on outside of van would flash but nothing on the dash. drove van home went to start it this morning an no life at all.no central locking no lights no turn over when using key just nothing.

Sounds like your battery was loosing voltage, and gradually dying and various items not working as it got worse, have you tried jump leads?
