Van going slow in wet weather

Hi. Just wondered if any1 can help me, i dont no if its anthing to do with when the roads r wet but everytime they are my 2.0l peugeot partner hdi decides to idle or go really slow and kicks alot of smoke out the exhaust. But only when the roads are wet? Please help. Thanks col
