Heater matrix

It's not my car but a family member has asked me to change tne heater matrix on there 607 i have had a quick look and seems a mega job does anyone know if there is a way of changing the matrix without taking the whole dash out, any tips or advice would be great, Thanks

Unless you are a tech.do not touch it your only gonna give yourself a major headache unless you have the skills to do it.

Ok thanks, so i take it there is no way of changing it without taking the whole dash out, i have changed a comlpete dash on a astra and a pug 206 just wondered if there are any corner cutting tips, i must admit it does seem alot of work, someone quoted it takes a day and a half just to get the dash out!! think i might pass on this one!!

wouldnt normally suggest it but try some rad weld!!

I had a van and every morning I would come out to find a small puddle of coolant under the matrix ,I could not be bothered stripping out the dash to fix it ,due to time work issue,s so I added two bottles of rad weld to the cooling system,guess what it certainly fixed it and problem did not re-occur,so depending on the leak it is worth a try.Thanks to Pauli for reminding me of this.
