Engine instantly cuts out when running

Engine starts and operates normal but cuts out, revs drop and there is no throttle when running instantly or for one or two seconds.

You could have a plug or plug lead breaking down intermittently under load and causing it to drop a cylinder , both need checking . If not that , check / clean MAF

The car has MAP. There is no MAF.
Yesterday it showed issues with the immobiliser as well. After the engine was stopped as before, the lights on the immobiliser went out and there was not a way to key in the code. After I switched off and on again, I could key in the code even though it was not necessary since it was green the light.
