Tried spraying some easy start down intake to see if it starts and would mean it's fuel related ?

Thanks but I already have these in handbook and Haynes manual.
I have checked all the fuses and are all ok, central locking seems ok but when I connect the battery the front wipers, lights and flasher bulbs without flashing, dash lights , radio has stopped working so no menu, glow plug lights not working and starter motor not energising, it may have had overvoltage from battery charger as it gave a beep so has the control box been damaged or a relay,I have a Ancel diagnostic OBD11 although for VW it does read some things and says no faults any clues would be helpful thanks.

You really lost me with what you are saying .
" I already have these in handbook and Haynes manual. " ??
" central locking seems ok " ??
" glow plug lights not working " You say it's petrol , only diesels have glow plugs
Just a few examples that dont make sense

I have the diagrams already, it's a 1.6hdi turbo manual, engine doesn't crank, I'll take the starter motor off and see if it works off the car, but it's all the other strange things working when everything is switched off.
