2008 Peugeot 308 horn goes off continously

Car was un locked at the time and had been like that for most of the day, when the horn went off continously. Started the engine and then locked the car, it then stopped.

Unusual for alarm to go off when not active , may have been a glitch . I have seen the odd car having this problem due to the car battery being low . If it recurs when not locked I would get the car battery LOAD tested . I had a neighbour with similar fault on a Vauxhall and due to low usage and short journeys the battery was low and caused this . As battery was o.k an overnight charge fixed it .If not that . would have to check further for possible sensors at fault or other causes .
