2008 Peugeot 308 depollution system faulty

What was the fault code ? This warning is just the peugeot software telling you SOMETHING is wrong , it could be many things .

Intake camshaft departure coherence
Inlet cylinder reference sensor signal, fault camshaft and crankshaft dephasing
Absence of communication on the can
Cruise control signal fault invalid value
Speed limiter signal fault invalid value

These are what came up on the diagnostic

if your getting P0011 or p0014 code faults its your variable valve solenoid its a common problem with the 308's and a lot less costly than having your camshaft and timing chain overhauled. A new variable valve solenoid can be purchased from ebay for less than £30 and it takes just a few minutes to replace. Go to you tube and type in variable valve solenoid replacement for Peugeot 308 for step by step instructions. A fault code reader is also handy so you can erase the p00
errors when you have replaced it

Thanks, I will try that, I do have a code reader but for some reason it wont work on the car it only works on a garage diagnostic machine

Hi brett you can pick up a diagnostics machine purely for your car from ebay will cost just a few pounds think mine was around £8 its already paid for itself many times over and saved costly visits to the garage

I have a diagnostic tool and it doesn't work on the car so I bought one that is for the Peugeot and that doesn't work either, the only one that works are the garage ones

is it for the peugeot 308 brett I use a Proscan Automotive model : v350 bought from ebay cost me around £8 works brilliantly with my 2009 peugeot 308 1.6 petrol sport its purely for the 308 wont work on any other peugeot
