I have reported several times at service intervals to my garage (Perrys of Nelson)
that the rear axle was noisy on uneven surfaces and all i got from them was that its not detrimental to the running and it would cost me £250 for them to investigate

Hi Would be best to check for anything loose on or around axle, but i would suspect a worn axle mounting bush

Poor metal inside the axle can cause a creaking type noise over bumps ,cure for it is to fill with expanding foam ,if this applies to your style axle

Contact your Peugeot dealer re the foam which was subject to a TSB and see if they will help towards cost at least if not FOC . I think they fitted updated axles from early 2016 , unluckily you just missed out .
