Fan running when cold or at traffic lights

2008 Peugeot 308
Car: Peugeot 308
Year: 2008

Hi I have a peogeut 308 and it has caused me many issues but the latest I am asking for help with identifying is.. when car is at traffic lights the fan kicks in.. and will stay on a minute after car is stopped.. It's very loud! I recently had a new thermostat put in as there was no heating and also a heater blower resistor.. but it is still happening
. I would appreciate any feed back as I have been conned so many times with this car. Thanks

Check your coolant level when engine cold . It's not unusual for fan to cut in when in traffic and no air flow to assist cooling .It may also run after switching off to cool engine and then cut out Keep an eye on temp gauge for any signs of overheating and also watch coolant level does not drop

Its possible it could be a fault with the electric water pump control or the vapour heater.Check all the fuses in the under bonnet fuse box first to see if one is blown
