Reverse light went off

2011 Peugeot 308 308SW
Car: Peugeot 308
Year: 2011
Variant: 308SW
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
Hello there
I am working on a reverse camera on the car. Now suddenly the revers light is off. (no voltage) The reverse switch is working as the screen switches to reverse beepers. Is there a fuse somewhere or is it in the can system and can that system be reset?
In the Haynes manual I found no solution.
Thanks

Electrics are not my best subject .I don't know if removing the PARC shunt fuse and refitting would help .

Check the BSI fuse #15 and with the reverse gear engaged there should be V at terminal #6 BSI.
And this IS on the can line so Scanning the BSI would help.

Thanks for your answers.
I have checked all fuses of BSI (Built-in Systems Interface) and all were good. The PARC fuse is on the right side (no park). There is no 12V on terminal pin # 6. Which is the same as on the white wire close to the revere light unit.
Is it possible to find the position of the BSI and take it out for a check ?

You'll need Peugeot Planet diagnostics to run a global scan which test ALL modules for fault codes.

I have read and used the second suggestion of Legend above. Take out the Shunt and wait 20 minutes. I did last night and yes the reverse light went on again. Now I connected the reverse camera on (with contact off). And the reverse light did not go on again with contact on. Now I think that the load/impedance of the revers camera makes the BSI to switch off terminal # 6, which is the V for the reverse lights.
Is there another solution to solve this ?
The reverse switch can not be used as it switches to earth/ground/mass.

When I fitted reverse sensors on any cars I did not use the reverse light switch but tapped into reverse light wiring at rear harness with Scotchlock connectors .

That is what I wrote. I tapped from reverse light wire and that causes the problem. In all my previous cars it was no problem in tapping some eleltrical things to any wire somewhere in the harnass. That wire had just a fuse and no sensible BSI.
Now I plan to use the reverse light wire for the signal to the video screen to switch over to video. And connect the camera to the 12V sigaret lighter at the back seat. In this way the camera is always on, but the video input from the camera is only switched on when reverse is on.May this will do.

Hy guys
Problem solved.
The load of the camera was too much for the BSI and caused it to switch off.
I connected the camera supply to the sigaretlighter near the back seat and the tapped reverse light wire to the video interface.
Yes. This method works.
Hooking up the caravan is much easier now.
Thank you all very much for your help.
