Hi
Just some info please. I have the above car which I brought from a dealership in November 2016. It was exactly 2 years old with 33000 miles in the clock.
I've had it now almost 6 months and now got 40000 on the clock.
Last month I had some power failure and limped the car into the garage. I can't remember what the fault was but it was fixed under warranty. (I think it was a common fault).

Also for the past 3 months I've had a knocking. I lived with it-being pretty care free as I thought it was the exhaust come lose&wasnt in a rush to drop it in but so many people mentioned it I took it into the garage last Monday and it's actually an issue with the Axle. Which the approved Pegeot garage are saying they are waiting on Pegeot to give a solution to fix it, but will again be covered by warranty.
It's now Sunday, still not heard.

I've just read this seems to be another common fault? So how long should I expect to wait for a solution?? Surely if this is common they should know straight away??

Also, I loved the car, it looks smart and I have a panoramic sun roof. I've never had a poegeot & a couple of prople said dont buy....
So, have I just been unlucky?
Or brought a pile of crap!??? This is the second repair in a matter if months! I don't want my friends to be right but....

I have exactly the same problem of broken welds on the rear axle, as you say it is a common problem with the new 308. I have been told by the dealer that just replacing the axle has been found to not fix the problem, so Peugeot have been looking for a solution, apparently this is what is causing the delays. I spoke to the dealer again today, and they are expecting a solution from Peugeot imminently, that will then be rolled out on a long backlog of effected vehicles.

Ok thanks that's good to know. I'm not two months other after diagnosis and still unresolved. I have chased the dealer numerous times. 3 weeks ago they said wait for a recall letter, it will take 2 weeks!
Sunday I emailed Peugeot direct and complained. Guess what - got a call Monday from the garage. Taking it in next Friday letting it sit in their forecourt until they van fix it. Getting courtesy car. Shoddy service in general!

I also have a 2016 Peugeot 308 and believe me im sick of this car its costing me money all the time .

Peugeot have just quoted me £3257.00 for all of the work needed to my car because I was 2 weeks out of my warranty and they would not help at all.

I drive my car for a living and every time it ent into have warranty work it was turned down because there warranty is only valid if you haven't gone over the mileage for that part even though my car had unlimited mileage warranty but each time they had an excuse.

In my opinion if the car is working at the moment try to part ex it for something else not peugeot they are cowboys and would never buy another one of there bangers.

This is a list of problems ive had

FRONT SUSPENSION
REAR SUSPENSION
ADBLUE TANK
PETROL FLAP
ADBLUE CAP
AIR IN THE COOLANT SYSTEM
SEVERE OIL LEAK
CATALITIC CONVERTER
GOES THROUGH REAR BRAKE PADS EVERY 4MONTHS
COFFEE CUP HOLDER BROKE AFTER THE FIRST WEEK
ALWAYS HAVING WARNING LIGHT ON THE DASH EVEN THOUGH THERE IS NEVER A PROBLE MOST OF THE TIME.

Im not trying to scare you i just dont want anybody else having this amout of problems.
