2000 Peugeot 308 roof and boot issue

today we had roof up all day but when we went to put roof up the roof went up ok but the boot stayed in the upright position,the two flaps connected to arms did not retract and the boot did not lower.called the as out and message screen read roof mechanism faulty,eventually afte a little tinkering the flaps retracted and the boot lowered but it has done the same thing again .roof went back into position but the boot alas is still in the upright position any clues or ideas boys and girls ...?

So many possible problems you need to get it scanned with proper equipment for fault codes .
