2012 Peugeot 308 flip screen/sat nav/radio not working

This problem started when the car was still in guarantee about 4 months ago but Peugeot wouldn't look at it unless the problem presented itself whilst the car was being serviced.
It started with the screen flickering every so often, then the radio started cutting out, the screen would freeze and the buttons which controlled the on screen function didn't appear to work either.
The flip screen is now not opening upon the engine starting, or opening and reloading itself several times before cutting out. Every so often it manages to play the radio but then the radio won't turn off when you have turned the car off and opened the drivers door as it should.
Most recently, there has been a strange sound coming from the dashboard which can is like an electrical whirring sound which is about two seconds long and is sporadic with how often it sounds. It sounds a lot like something is trying to connect.
Could anyone please tell me what it is and how to fix it or give an idea of how much it would cost to fix it please?

I have known the connector to the unit to come loose causing similar issues to what you are experiencing.
If it isn't the wiring then the unit itself is the problem

My flip screen stays open on a Peugeot 308 ehdi 2012.
Radio, navi etc. All work. But screen stays open when ignition is turned off. Also the tilt and open close buttons on the side of the screen do not work, please advice.
