A garage with good diagnostics can access the cars computer and find out just how blocked in percentages the DPF is.
So there's no "could be",
There's a read out so no quibble.
I use Peugeot Planet diagnostics,
not only can it tell if the DPF is at fault I can run a regeneration cycle on many types of car.
Point I'm making here is your garage is ill equipped.
So look for a local Peug specialist equipped with P.P,
Or it's the main dealer for a full global scan and DPF test.
