Water in boot

2008 Peugeot 308 1.6 v v ti sport

There is a puddle of water in the bottom of the boot under the spare tyre. I don;t understand where it is coming from, the rest of the boot is dry. No rust or obvious signs where it is getting in, can anyone help?

if the car has been standing a while could be as simple as condensation depending on how much water

Make sure the boot rubber is on and in good condition, check to make sure all the gromets are in the boot floor/.
