Car not Accelerating on Cold morning

2003 Peugeot 307 2.0 HDI Turbo Diesel Manual
Car: Peugeot 307
Year: 2003
Variant: 2.0 HDI Turbo Diesel Manual
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Hi,

I have recently just had a diesel particle filter replaced (very expensive) and for a few weeks all was ok.

However now, only on a cold morning, the car starts fine, but the car will not accelerate quickly. It is sluggish and will not really go over 20,000 revs, this is in any gear.

After the temperature gauge starts to move, the car gets its power back and I can accelerate properly again. I am not sure if it is linked to the part replaced or the cold mornings. It doesnt happen if we have had a warm evening.

I cant seem to find an answer on any forum, you are my last hope :)

it might be worth getting the warm air dozer checked at the back of the engine( Assuming it is a 110 hdi(rhs) engine code).below 60 degrees all intake air goes through this and not the intercooler it can get gumbed up and stuck. also check vacuum pipes and the solenoid that controls it.

This is unusual, Let me explain :
I have a 206 , Year 2002.

My car goes like a dream until it rains, when it rains it actually has the same problem as yours, spluttering, will not go above 20,000rpm.If I turn off the motor and wait for the water to evaporate or what ever it does, the car starts again without any problem.

So now I am always nervous about driving in the rain, will the car go ok or will the water hit the problem area again ????

I Know its some electrical fault , but where it is , is another question, I had it checked at a Peugeot Dealer by the diagnostic and was given a all clear ???

I have read many subject on this issue with the 206 and a lot of owners have paid a lot of money, but the problem has not been resolved.

I cannot afford to take it to the garage and pay a lot of money and not to have the problem fixed. So I frequently check the wires and see if I can figure this out myself, but now after owning this car for 6 years I still have not found the rootcause.

If anybody has had the same problem and found the cause , without taking the car to a garage I would be really grateful to know , how to slove this , as its really "DOING MY HEAD IN ""

Thanks to anyone who can give a solution :-))
