2004 Peugeot 307 won't fire up

Hi can anyone suggest why my car won't fire up I've just had the starter motor replaced because it had trouble turning over but when it did it fired up no problem. Thankyou for any suggestions.
From one fed up lady.

Check the earth strap from engine / g/box to body .
