engine cut out now it wont start is there fuel cut off switch

Hi,can your hear the fuel pump kick in when you turn key in ignition?

if you cant ear fuel pump engage when key turned far enough just to display your oil light and abs ect get down and give the petrol tank a good welly with you hand and try to start again, poss fuel pump sticking, hope this helps cheers Andy
