2002 Peugeot 307 loss of electrics

just recently i've been driving and then all electrical power was lost, speedo,fan,lights,audio then about 5 to 10 seconds later it comes back on but as for the engine it doesn't miss a beat.

check battery terminals are tight and all engine/gearbox earths clean and secure and that the wiring connector going to instrument panel is securely fitted and there are no loose pins or damage to wires
