Engine management light on and fault reads antipolution fault

This warning flashed up on the wife's 207 diesel but as it was a council supplied vehicle she took it in to the council workshop where they got a new part and she had the car back within a couple of hours. Now, I can't say what they replaced but to put your mind at rest, such a quick fix might not be an expensive one. She had the same symptoms, loss of or no power until she switched off and started it again several times. Hope this helps ease the worry.

" No way to diagnose this one without been put on a code reader there is loads of possible faults with this engine management system from turbo faults to particle filter problems etc.........

if you have been using supermarket fuel during cold weather i suspect posssible fuel pressure fault due to waxing of fuel! get a read done though.

I have a vauxhall zafira with the same problem....i am now turning the key in the ignition, then waiting 15 seconds before starting engine, this seems to help as the light goes out after driving about 100yards down the road.......hope this helps you....Gorty x
