when im in the car i've got to have the fan on full bore on the windscreen clear setting or it steams up also if the fan isnt on full very little comes on.

Check your pollen filter .

Where is the pollen filter?
driver side behind access cover in engine bay bulkhead
Time to change - approx. 15 minutes
How Easy to change - moderate
Tools Needed?
torx key or torx screwbit
Fitting Stage 1:-
Open the bonnet and locate the plastic cover that is at he base of the windscreen on the passenger side. Remove the 3 retaining screws and the cover. Unclip and remove the plastic capping strip that covers the end of the filter. Remove the old filter.
Fitting Stage 2:-
Insert the new Puravent filter ensuring that the airflow arrows on the filter point downwards. Refit the plastic capping strip. Refit the outer plastic cover.
