Hi

the temperature of my car is going up suddnly and even when the weather is normal. and on the disply says " the temperature of your engine is too high - STOP ".
the second problem is that sometime on the disply says catalic converter fault.

the third problem is that my car is 1.4 and it need too much fuel ( Petrol) and i don't know if anybody has had this similler problem before and for example if the fuel gague was half , then if i travel for two days but not for like going to many place the car gauge is keep going down and i have to re-fill it again. I don't even know why my car has these problems, because I used to have a car and the car was 1.6 but the car didnt need that much fuel. its really greatful if anyone can give me some advice or a soloution for the problem.

sounds like you have a few faulty sensors replace the engine temp sender and also the lamba sensor before the cat one this could be the answer the why your temp gauge is reading wrong and the lamba sensor most likely will be the reason why the car isnt doing very well on fuel as its not sending the correct information back to the cars ecu and making the correct adjustments to run correctly have these sensors checked to be sure of the faults via a garage the has diagnostics equipement that will tell them whats wrong and what sensors are not functioning correctly

is the cat the original or an aftermarket one? As for fuel consumption it is a heavyish car for a 1.4 especially if is is an 8 valve. Temp sensor probable cause of stop light coming on but i would check coolant level as well. Bad advice " replace sensors " as there may be other faults!
