I have a 206, 2005.... same thing has been going on few a while in my car!! Would lurve to know what that is all about!!!

Have you checked pressure with a gauge? If pressure is low with a gauge fitted then there is a possibility oil pressure lost at cam journals due to scoring. If pressure ok with gauge then obviously there is an electrical fault somewhere.Do you know if head gasket has been replaced?

yes head gasket and timming belt replaced car has only done 30500 miles

sorry but it does sound like losing oil pressure at top end!!! If it is cam journals a new head will be needed!

It could be the the plastic cross that sits central inside the oil filter has been damaged .when it shears off it restricts oil pressure .
.It's a known problem can fail weeks or months after filter change , possible cause over tightening of filter affects oil pressure release valve in centre of filter body.

Sorry didnt spot you had changed filter, what about trying renew the the filter cap with the pressure valve inbuilt
The reason I say this is I had a filter on a 206 that was damaged and was giving the same low pressure warning , that was due to the central plastic support being damaged and affecting the pressure valve in the cap. The spring of the valve sits on the central plastic cross
Might be a cheap fix?
