2004 Peugeot 307 loud bang, leak and squeeling noise

Car: Peugeot 307
Year: 2004
Categories: Leaks & Noises
I started my car today and as I started to move off I heard a loud bang and a squeeling noise coming from my car. I was too scared to drive so I reparked and saw that a small line of fluid was coming out to where I just drove. The line seemed to lead from my Passenger side front tire or just to the side of it.
Any suggestions on whats wrong?

Best to get it checked out before you move car, better safe than sorry . If coming from front wheel area , could be brake fluid .Could also be driveshaft gone or something on engine i.e coolant / oil / belt gone etc. etc.Really hard to diagnose without seeing colour of fluid and having a look under bonnet and car .

The fluid underneath (although on concrete) seemed to be clear. I've never heard this noise before on my car, and it happened all of a sudden. It couldn't have been leaking before hand as there was no sign of a puddle.

Any noises from brakes or engine before this happened ? Brake fluid can be clear colour , you might want to check level of brake fluid tank .

No noise from brakes or engine at all, this is the first time anything like this has happened.

You really need to get someone mechanically minded to have a look / check over, otherwise just guessing what's gone .Check coolant level .Nothing under car you may have went over ? Hope its something simple .

I hope it is too, I'm getting it checked at the weekend so I'll have to let you know how it goes. Nothing under the bonnet seems to be out of place ect. No visible leaks (i.e. literally being able to see it drip), water/oil levels seem to be fine.
I just hope that whatever it is, its not too expensive haha!
