2001 Peugeot 307 anti pollution system warning light

anti pollution system warning light on car wont go over 3,000 revs then stops i dissconnet battrey 2 second then it ok but same again 20 miles down road ?Any ideas 53,000 miles

It could be the lambda sensor clogged with carbon or broken, it might think the fuel mixture is too rich and is not allowing enough fuel through.

Not to uncommon for high pressure pump to have failed due to metal swarfe running round the fuel system, means replacing everything, very expensive. but check for air leaks, boost presure sensor and mass air flow sensor.

I had this problem, had something to do with a sensor around the fuel tank/cap.

Best thing take it to a main dealer to run the diagnostics

I had mine all sorted and all ok (touch wood!)
