Black reek coming out of exhust

the car start ok and reveses, but when u put it in gear theres no power but while black reek comes out of the exhust.. please someone help me.

i am guessing you mean there is black smoke coming out of your exhaust?if this is the case then check all your intake pipes are secure and not damaged,check your egr valve and inlet manifold are not clogged up
