2002 Peugeot 307 clutch noise

when i press the clutch pedal i get a loud noise and a vibration thru the pedal i also get a whirring noise between gear changes i've been told its the thrust bearing is this right?
i've also been told that they aren't sold seperate and have to get a clutch kit is this also right?

Could well be . You can get bearing separate , but nobody in there right mind would just replace that .Always fit clutch assembly , false economy if you don't.
