Thanks Whittingahame for the reply.
I checked my car in peugeot service centre.Diagnosis was no problem and they are telling this is normal in all the 307 model.is it true.

(My question was :
Its automatic gear with 1.6 litre engine. The problem is when i rise the accelerator i feel jerk (ie) jerking when the gear shift from 1to2 2to3 &3to4.smooth gear shifting is not there .what it could be the problem?)

I have no experience of driving that particular model and can't say if it is normal or not .It's just a pity you can't get another one to drive / compare . I do know a friend had a new Honda Civic and had the same sort of problem with the auto box . He didn't like the gear changes and changed it for a Ford Focus because of this .I have seen a few comments on auto box i.e

" The auto transmission is a bit jerky on downchanges in the city, but that's a typical French auto. Otherwise a brilliant car. "

So seems common complaint .
