Door locks not reponding to key or dash button

i have tried resetting the key and tha bsi unit but still the doors will not respond to the key i have a feeling the key is also not disabling the immobiliser due to the engine not firing, i also put the window down before i now it wont go back up! this has happened since i disconnected the battery to clean the earth cable contact (this worked all the ignition lights have now come back on)
