2005 Peugeot 307 main lights come on when car is started

when ignition key inserted side lights and instrument lights come on and when engine started main headlights come on i can not find an auto light switch and the lights come on even in bright sun light

this is normal look in the owners manual and all should be explained on how to turn them off

hi thanks for the reply but the lights are not fitted with auto detection so unable to deactivate via multifunction manual offers no other option, someone suggested it may be a sticking relay but again unable to locate such to check this, the switch on the stalk works ok so ruled this out, softwear was upgraded by dealership a few months ago for antipollution filter fault appearing on dash that still comes on but does not effect the running of the car could they activate the lights through softwear not sure if i ask them they say bring the car in more exspence.

sounds like bsi has been downloaded and daytime running lights activated. need to be disabled by dealer!
