My engine management + ABS lights are occasionally coming on and when this happens the speedo wont work and the car is very sluggish

Sounds like speed / abs sensor , usually plenty on E bay if you have any probs getting one . Sometimes you can get away with cleaning out muck / dirt . i.e from e-bay,
NEW BOXED FUEL PARTS REAR ANTI LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM WHEEL SPEED SENSOR / PICK UP FOR PEUGEOT 307
This is the grey connector type - Fits either side rear , left or right , nearside or offside , NSR or OSR

Peugeot 307 1.6i Engine Type TU5JP4 (NFU) From 11/03 on
Peugeot 307 2.0i Engine Type EW10J4 From 06/01 on
