1994 Peugeot 307 time and date

Variant: CC convertible
My date and time keeps going back to zero every time I use the car. Any ideas please as to the problem.

is the battery in good condition as if its low then all the current pulled by the starter might pull the battery voltage down too low and so zero the clock
