wifes car as above broke down on motorway just cut out i got the car back home i tried to start it my self eventually i got it started but only started after i remove the oil cap it seems like high oil pressure can anybody tell me what could cause this and what is the remedy thankyou

have you checked the oil pressure with gauge?
if high could be a head gasget between oilway and combustion
did the car overheat b4 breaking down?

no mate the car didnt overheat temp was normal just need to know what can cause this i can go out now and remove the oil filler cap and the car would start but the minute i put the oill filler cap back on it cuts out

check pcv hose goes from rocker cover to block known to colapse
