2004 Peugeot 307 my car cuts off before 90 degrees noticed the fan doesn't switch on. i did replace the ect sensor still same problem

The heat gauge starts to go high after about 10 minutes of driving and the car switches off. On idling I also noticed that the fan doesn't switch on. Replaced the ect sensor and the fan resistor....

I believe on that car it is a double speed fan and doesn't cut in till at 95 / 97 ºC

Yes it is a 2 speed fan. Sometimes the low speed fan does come on around 95 degrees and sometimes the engine cuts before 90 degrees. Do I have to maybe erase the fault code now that I've replaced the ect sensor just a thought...

If you have a fault code and think you have rectified the fault , delete code and see if it returns ,.
