2002 Peugeot 307 intermittent gear selection

Hi guys, I've recently developed a problem with my gears, most of time it drives spot on. But ever now and then it get really stiff to go into gear and then it won't event go in to gear at all. However if you turn the off it'll select the gear I honestly have no clue please help!!!

Could check gear shift cables / linkage . If it goes into gear o.k with engine off, more likely to be clutch related .

Hi, and i Thought that at first but it's too intermittent to be a clutch problem, like today it hasn't even done it but yesterday it wouldn't select any gear at all, I'm thinking maybe a simple clutch bleed? Or slave change?

That is why I said " clutch related " It may well be a hydraulic fault with clutch master cyl / slave cyl or internal fault with clutch assembly .You may get away with bleeding it but have a look for any signs of fluid leaks first .
