2007 Peugeot 307 oil pressure warning message even though plenty of oil

Car: Peugeot 307
Year: 2007
Categories: Leaks & Noises
Have the 'Stop oil pressure too low' warning light coming on intermittently. Local Peugeot garage said it was a seal problem and they fixed it (80-90% certainty they said). Took car back and same warning light came on after 6-7 miles or so. Plenty of oil in the engine. No sign of any leak after leaving in our garage overnight. Garage now says may be more serious problem -camshaft etc. No signs of fumes etc. in exhaust, engine running normally, no unusual noises.

Oil pressure not oil level!!
I'd fit an independent oil pressure gauge to the access and check the actual pressure.
It could be a faulty oil pressure sensor or as garage suggest camshafts,
Or it could be any of the pressure fed bearings or the pump itself.

If your car is a 1.4 16valve then I would bet its the camshaft bearings where the fault is...could also be incorrect oil filter
