2003 Peugeot 307 front side lights not working

Car: Peugeot 307
Year: 2003
Variant: HDi 110 Rapier estate
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
The front sidelights have stopped working. The bulbs are OK. The fuses are OK. The rear lights, dash lights and rear number plate light work. As I understand it the front and rear lights are split diagonally so I'm wondering about a BSI reset.

I have read how to reset the BSI but I'm concerned that doing so could result in other problems such as the car not starting.

I've had the car from new and once dealer maintained, it's now just a local mechanic who's not able to find the fault.

So is a BSI reset risky please?

Hope all that makes sense?

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards

John

Before attempting a BSi reset I would check the small grey connector in the back of the comm 2000 unit( the control module behind the steering wheel that has the light stalks etc attached). Disconnect and reconnect the grey connector.

Thanks for that Paulieone.

Is that a straightforward process please? Are there other wires in the loom / connector; or is there just one grey wire.

Many thanks

its not one wire its a small grey connector with six wires in and is in the centre of the rear of the unit.If you take the steering wheel cowling off you will see it underneath
