Battery not charging wireing problem

2002 Peugeot 307 1.6 petrol manual
Car: Peugeot 307
Year: 2002
Variant: 1.6 petrol manual
Upon having a new battery and alternator fitted, the battery light is still coming on whilst driving home from the garage. When I arrived home (10 mile journey) I turned off the car and went to start it again but this time the battery seems to be completely dead. What else can I try?

it sounds like you have a wiring issue or a poor connection somewhere. Check the positive terminal on the battery as these are quick release and I have known them to not lock down correctly also check earths and positive connection to the BM34(Under bonnet fuse box)
