the car ticks over at the usual 7/800 rpm when cold but once car is warm the tickover pulsates does'nt cut out just drops down and up any idea's ???

Could be a number of things,
Getting it scanned for live data would help,
Check the short term fuel trim and lambda output would be the test I'd do to see if there's maybe a vacuum intake leak.

reset the autoadaptives and check the throttle housing for gumming up
