Steering lock

After I've taken key out of ignition the steering wheel won't lock.
Problem added: Oct 8, 2015 (8 years ago)
You could try some WD40 through the ignition key hole and work the key , sometimes works .

Sorry but I'm really not a big fan of spraying WD 40 into any locks.
it does dry out and lock contain lots of little bits that have to move
dried out oil is sticky
A far better option is graphite powder.
Graphite is super slippy and an excellent lubricant.
I keep a bottle in the top of the tool box for just these situations.
My local hardware shop stocks it or Ebay and provided the caps replaced it last for years.
A quick puff of the black dust down the key hole works wonders.

Graphite powder is better if available .I was given some many , many years ago by a great locksmith and used it often .Now lanquishing in a drawer or one of my old tool boxes or somewhere in the garage .
