2006 Peugeot 307 roof won't work

I was putting roof on & it just got stuck halfway,the aa,came out & there computer said rear boot lid sensor,after putting roof on manually he reset the fault a clip had come off,since then someone said to reset it the roof needed to go down manually & this should reset it,did this yesterday & tried it, looked like it was goin to work,but the roof catch won't release on drivers side,so roof won't open as it just seems to be sticking when it gets to releasing the catches,but did look like it was going to reset till it got to there,where as before I'd took roof down manually & put it bk up,it wasn't even starting to open,I hope someone can help with this problem with as much detail as possible,as I am a female who will try & fix anything & as long as iv got the step by step lol
