2003 Peugeot 307 indicators intermittant

if headlights are on bright will sometimes switch to dim on there own , when I indicate the indicater gives 4 beeps then stops , this happens when wet and cold strangely , where and what is causing this to happen?. thanks for youre help

Sounds like faulty comms unit / stalk / switch
