Peugeot 307 front suspension

have just replaced shocks and springs did not replace front shock top mounting rubbers.
Now sounds like a squeaking mouse under bonnet when driving, no vibration from steering. Does any body know if I change mounting rubbers will this rectify problem.

And I'm guessing you didn't renew the strut top bearings either?
Ive seen these so bad they actually fall apart when removing them.
just old school ball and race,
and I wouldn't do shocks without renewing them....
